Transforming Public Services in Katsushika City: Advancing AI Beyond RAG
Since 2024, Katsushika City has been developing a generative AI system called “Katsushika Chat”, leveraging large-scale data to improve internal operations through Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology.
In addition, the city is conducting proof-of-concept trials to support front desk operations using not only response guides but also book-based data, aiming to address challenges such as eliminating the “bureaucratic runaround” and preserving staff expertise.
Starting this fall, Katsushika City plans to begin trial operations of a government-specialized AI agent that converts conversations at service counters into text via speech recognition and instantly suggests relevant information to staff.
In this session, Takshi Obara, Director of the DX Strategy Division at Katsushika City, will introduce these cutting-edge initiatives from the field. Furthermore, technical partner NTT-AT will present the technical challenges and future outlook of agent technologies.
